Blog Week 12…

Hey my dudes… Already on week 12 honestly this year is just flying by… Anyone else feel like that???

This week is going to feel like a long one I reckon as I haven’t share the Krakow photos with you all yet… They are on socials but not on here… We honestly had such a great time, if anyone is thinking about going I would definitely recommend it… It was a trip I’m glad we did but I’m not sure I’d go back as we’ve done it now. Obviously Auschwitz was extremely sad and you just can’t believe it happened and only 80 years ago… Which doesn’t seem that long ago at all.

We packed so much into the trip as always… We arrived Friday and no jokes ended up bumping into one of my clients Abbie-Leigh and her mum in the airport which was a nice surprise they were doing the same stuff as us and going to same places just at different times so that was fun. We had a nice catch up!!! Our hotel Modern View Planty Park was honestly lovely. We had a self check in which I honestly loved… Not that I aren’t a people person but I hate just talking to random people so this for me was amazing. We arrived and it was Danny’s birthday weekend so we had balloons and stuff in the room which was cute.

So the Saturday we headed out and walking around looking at anything and everything we could. As it was Danny’s birthday I had arranged for us to visit the Salt Mines as I thought god I can’t take Danny to Auschwitz on his 29th birthday can I??? 😅😅😅 Our guide for the Salt Mines was brilliant there were a group of us and we found it so interesting… I had to keep reminding Danny to not touch everything obviously. I mean if you know him, you know what he’s like… We went out for a meal that night and then well headed back to the room because we were talking around 15 miles a day which was crazy we were both exhausted. I was glad to go back to work for a break let me tell you…

On the Sunday we got up and grabbed breakfast at this super cute cafe it was very insta worthy if you follow my account you’ll of seen it I imagine (@livingthelifeofrachel). We got a transfer to Birkenau first which honestly was just intense… If you know me or have been tattooed by me before you know I’m a huge fan of history so this was just mind blowing. I honestly can’t explain it. However I will say you can feel the death and sadness in both places. Birkenau and Auschwitz it honestly was such a sad place. Like I said before I am so glad we got to go and witness these historical places. I just hope for the sake of this world it doesn’t happen again. 80 years doesn’t feel like that long ago. We then got the bus over to Auschwitz and honestly it was so moving. Please take tissues with you. I think other than the gas chambers the death wall was the worst part for me. I genuinely don’t understand how one person could be so evil to another person. I understand that this is the world we live in but still.. We headed back to Krakow fairly late on that day.

We woke up on the Monday, packed and headed back out for our final day. We had a little electric golf cart booked to take us around Krakow so we made sure we had seen everything (thanks for the recommendation Rich). I loved seeing all the churches and learning all about the Jewish Ghetto etc it honestly is such an interesting city with A LOT of history. If you are thinking of going 💯 take comfy sneaks and a coat because it does get cold. The Architecture there is honestly stunning too!!! As I’m sure I’ve mentioned before we use an app called GetyourGuide and we book everything through this it's made all our trips so much easier if you haven’t got it definitely have a look into it… We are thinking after the summer heading to Marrakech so if anyone has any tips and tricks please send them my way…

Anyways so back to work for us on Tuesday and I had such a fun week… Saw some new and old faces as usual… As much as I loved all the tattoos we did this week I must say I think I’ve just done the coolest tat ever. So on Saturday I tattooed Carl who I’ve tattooed a fair few times now and he got a tattoo of his grandad and his last messages before he sadly passed. And I don’t know what it is about it but honestly I love it!!! Like it’s obviously super personal and it’s just the cutest shit ever!!! So thanks for trusting me with that one Carl you da best!!!

Not that y’all need to know however I did also get my hair did this week, so feeling super ready for Monday (getting my composite bonding at Space feel like that’s come round super quick).

Finally wanna let you all know I got a new pink station at work and I am obsessed it’s super girly and fun and why the fuck not??? So my set up is getting cuter at work now and I’m fully here for it!!! (see photos below)…

I feel like I’ve gone on forever this week so I’m sorry but not sorry at the same time… Love how many of you keep up with these weekly blogs and I honestly am so humbled by it!!!

Until next week…
